Zelma B. Moore

Zelma B. Moore, 82, of Owensboro passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Owensboro Care and Rehabilitation. She was born on August 8, 1930 in Muhlenberg County to the late Bessie Phelps Ball.

She is preceded in death by her brother, George Ball.

Zelma graduated from Central City High School in 1950 and worked for General Electric for over 34 years. She married the love of her life, Lyman Moore on November 5, 1966. Zelma and her husband were members of Hall Street Baptist church for many years.

She is survived by her husband of over 46 years, Lyman D. Moore; two sister- in- laws, Barbara Wand ( Richard) of Lake City Florida and Judy Moore of Logansport, KY. She also is survived by 5 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews and 2 great -great nieces.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Kimbrough Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until Noon on Monday at the funeral home.
