Zelma Cecelia Cecil

Zelma Cecil, 88, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at her home. The Daviess County native was the daughter of the late Ben and Nora Henning Cecil. She was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, a graduate of Daviess County High School, and attended Brescia College. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Bernard V. and Claude Cecil.

She is survived by her sister, Elsie Cecil of Owensboro, nine nephews, Robert, Owen, Darrell, Claude, Jr., Kenny, Don, Ben, Bernard and Larry Cecil, six nieces, Anna Ruth Cecil, Mary Whitehead, Patty Lanham, Debbie Mayfield, Brenda Cecil, and Nancy Myrick, several great nieces and nephews, and several great-great nieces and nephews, two devoted caregivers, Joyce Driskell and Ethel Pean.

Funeral services are 11 A.M. Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with burial in St. William Cemetery in Knottsville. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. on Wednesday at the Glenn Funeral Home and after 9 A.M. on Thursday morning. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 6 P.M. on Wednesday.
