Xander Mayes

Xander Aaron Mayes, of Owensboro, went home to be with his heavenly Father on June 24, 2016, one day before his first birthday. He was born in Owensboro and brought happiness to the lives of many. He was fun loving and loved to flirt with the ladies! Xander loved his "Johnny Jump Up" swing and craved chocolate doughnuts from Meijer.

He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Frank and Mary Starosto.

Xander is survived by parents, Joshua and Morgan Mayes; a sister, Kayleigh Mayes; grandmother, Jean Retz of Wisconsin; grandfather, Ben Retz of Indianapolis, IN; grandparents, Gerald and Denise Bridges of Spartanburg, S.C. and Charles and Sara Mayes of Newburgh, IN; an aunt, Grace Bridges; and uncles, Zach Mayes, Chuck Mayes and Nathan Retz.

The funeral service will be at 2 PM Tuesday, June 28 with visitation after 11 AM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
