Wynema Joyce Jacobs

Wynema Joyce Jacobs, 79, of 3600 Surrey Drive East, Owensboro, died Thursday, March 15, 2001 at Leisure Years Nursing Home. Born in Monroe Co., Kentucky on November 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Robert Uptigrove and Nora Lee Ferguson Uptigrove. Her husband, Steve Anthony Jacobs preceded her in death in 1972.

Mrs. Jacobs retired after 25 years from G. E. She was a member of Owensboro Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Edelen & Connie Sue Saalwaechter both of Owensboro; two sons, John Jacobs of Owensboro and Robert Jacobs of Chunchula, AL.; eight grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchildren and nine step-great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Clora Dee Williamson of Louisville, KY., Wanda Robertson and Barbara Woosnam both of Owensboro; six brothers, Irvin Bowman and Bill Bowman both of Glasgow, KY., Garnett Bowman of Macon, GA., Glenn Bowman & Wallace Bowman both of Louisville, KY., and Wendell Bowman of FL: and a uncle, Garlie Ferguson of Tompkinsville, KY.

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2001 at Glenn Funeral Home, officiated by Noel Quinn. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 8:30 a.m. Monday.
