Winona Wilhite

Winona Acton Wilhite of 807 Hall Street was called home to rest early Wednesday morning, March 8, 2006 at 5:20 a.m. at Hillcrest Health Care Center. She was born in Hartford, Ohio County, Kentucky, April 25, 1934 to the late Levi Acton and Willie Cecil Collins Acton, the sixth of eleven children. Six siblings have preceded her in death as well as one grandson, Troy Adrian Wilhite.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Hugh, five daughters, Evelyn J.(Micheal) Chilton, Wanda W. (Dexter) Gregory, both of Owensboro, Eleanor W. Parker of Lawrenceburg, Ky., Donnie F. Wilhite of Frankfort, Ky., E.V. (Mark) Garner, and one son, Hugh B. (Linda) Wilhite, both of Washington, D.C., one sister, Lena R. (Mack) Tinsley of Pleasant Ridge, three brothers, Wesley E. Acton, Golden W. (Helene) Acton both of Pleasant Ridge, and Ledward M. (Thelma) Acton of Owensboro, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two sisters in law, Dorothy L. Davis, Ursaline S.Wilhite, one brother in law, Rack H. Wilhite, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jackson C. Rucker officiating. Burial; will be in Pleasant Point Baptist Church Cemetery at Utica. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 8:30 a..m. Saturday.
