Wilma B. Smith

Wilma B. Smith, 80, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, December 07, 2013, at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was born May 11, 1933 in Daviess Co. to the late Joseph and Ellen Ballard. Wilma was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing bingo, watching Jeopardy, UK basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

She also was proceeded in death by her first husband, Milton Eugene Qualls; daughter Glenda Snyder; Sisters Louise Alvey, Dorothy Clark and Emogene Rafferty and brothers Joseph Ballard Jr. and Glenn Ballard. Wilma is survived by her sons Jimbo Smeathers (Melody) of Maceo and Michael Qualls (Noreen) of Tucker, GA; sister Rose Chapman of Owensboro, five grandsons and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm Monday in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with visitation following.
