Wilma Cansler Shannon
August 26, 1935 — April 21, 2001
Mrs. Wilma Cansler Shannon, 65, of 5025 Sturbridge Dr., Owensboro, died Saturday, April 21, 2001 at her home. The Muhlenberg County native was a member of the Thruston United Methodist Church and had worked for the Senior Employment Services in Owensboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, P.F. ''Red'' Shannon on November 18, 1997.
She is survived by a son, Gregory Shannon of Owensboro; a daughter, Karen Williams of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Bradley Williams of Owensboro and Jessica Shannon of Owensboro; and a brother, Don Cansler of Owensboro.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2001 at the Glenn Funeral Home with ennichment in the Owensboro Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 5 P.M. on Wednesday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, 319 West 10 Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
