Wilma Marksberry Roberts

Wilma Marksberry Roberts, 78, of 6920 Jack Hinton Rd., Philpot, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Ohio Co., Ky. to the late James and Nina Lytle Marksberry. She was a homemaker and a member of Providence United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with all her family and when any of them or friends would stop by to see her, she would always offer them something to eat and some good advice too. She had always been a hard worker on the family farm and with their dairy business. Her family was always on her mind and her first priority. She also enjoyed raising a vegetable garden and flowers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde H. Roberts on April 18, 2000.

Surviving are three sons, Johnny Roberts and wife Joan, Wayne Roberts and wife Donna, and Dayton Roberts and wife Marsha, all of Philpot, two daughters, Becky Johnson and husband Tony of Philpot and Terri Wells and husband Richard of Utica, 10 grandchildren, Brian Roberts, Diana Cole, Sara Burden, Kelly Roberts, Amy Gibson, Jason McKinley, Tia Roberts, Amanda Roberts, April Kemplin, and Adam Johnson, 12 great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren, a brother, Fred Marksberry of Philpot, and three sisters, Edna Mae Henderson and Helen Roberts, both of Philpot, and June Embry of Owensboro.

Services will be 12 Noon Thursday, February 28, at Providence United Methodist Church, Philpot, with burial following in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and after 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the church.
