Wilma Likens porter, 77, of 713 Canterbury Road, Owensboro, died Saturday, August 31, 2002 at her home. The Ohio County native retired from General Electric in Owensboro after 35 years. She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and Yellow Banks Camping Club. She enjoyed camoing, traveling, gardening, raising flowers, crafts and cake decorating.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, James E. Porter; a son, Lendol Ferguson of Owensboro; two daughters, Linda Carrico and Marlys Johnston, both of Owensboro; a stepson, Phillip Dale Porter of Florida; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Likens of Centertown and Bill Likens of Atlanta; and a sister, Margaret Ashby of Centertown.
Services are at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitaion is from 3-6 p.m. Monday and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
