Wilma Leibfreid, 89, of Owensboro died Monday, August 25, 2014, at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was born in Daviess County, was a member of Wing Avenue Baptist Church, active in the American Business Women's Association, volunteered at the Elizabeth Munday Center and loved to dance. Wilma had worked for Wyndall's Finer Food for over 20 years in the meat department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wm Aubrey Leibfreid; her daughter, Eddie "Jean" Hatfield; and her companion, Bill Hubbard.
Survivors include her son Pat Leibfreid (Cherie) of Owensboro; daughter, Linus Lee Underwood (James) of Naples Florida; grandchildren, Randy Turner, Timmy Smith, Joshua Leibfreid (Kelly), Mary Wilson (Bryan), and Katie Little (Mark); great-grandchildren, Randall Turner, Ray Smith, Jeremy Smith, Meagan Leibfreid, Mitchell Leibfreid, Alexander Leibfreid, Bennett Wilson, Aubrey Wilson, and Lydia Little.
Services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
