Wilma A. Dowell

Wilma A. Dowell, 75, of Utica, passed away July 14, 2015. She was born in Blue Ridge, GA, to the late Joseph and Essie O'Neal. Wilma worked at Rogers Jewelry for several years. She enjoyed bowling and loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids and she loved cats. Wilma was a good woman and had a heart of gold.

Wilma is preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Terrell, Kemp, Orlo, and Windsor O'Neal, and sisters, Sue O'Neal and Kay Stewart.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Don Dowell; daughter, Star McKay (Dennis); son, Donald D. Dowell (Jerrelynne); grandchildren, Kaycee Workman (Austin), Dylan McKay and Dakota McKay, and great-grandchildren, Austin McKay and Raynee Workman; brothers, Carroll, Irby, and Glenn "Boo" O'Neal; sisters, Hazel Walker, O'Dra Miller, Jan Meeks, and Debra Davenport.

Services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 2-7:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at St. Peters Cemetery in Stanley, KY.
