William Lloyd Tinius

April 12, 1920 — May 21, 2001

Mr. William ''Bill'' Lloyd Tinius, 81, of 2515 Daviess St., Owensboro, died Monday, May 21, 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native retired from General Electric after 35 years. He was a member of First Christian Church where he was an Elder Emeritus and member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. Mr. Tinius enjoyed bowling; was a member of the VFW and was on the VFW Bowling Team; was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II; and enjoyed raising a garden and being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Edwina Day Tinius; two daughters, Dianne Motowicki of Conyers, Ga and Deborah Crone of Owensboro; four grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Marrett of Paducah.

Friends may at Glenn Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday May 23, 2001 and after 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 24. His funeral service wil be 2:30 p.m. Thursday May 24, 2001, in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
