William Marion Taylor

March 31, 1935 — November 17, 2013

William Marion Taylor, 78, of Masonville died on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the family farm where he was born to the late Marion W. and Mabel Taylor. William was a 1953 graduate of Daviess County High.

He was a lifelong farmer and he and his brother operated Taylor Brothers Farms. (Now Triple T Farms)
William was a charter member of Masonville Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His main hobby was also his occupation of farming. However, he also enjoyed UK Basketball and conversations over coffee with his friends.

Bill was preceded in death by a brother, Don Taylor.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nelda McCormick Taylor; daughter, Judith Taylor Inge (Jim) of Owensboro; sons, Wally Taylor (Lisa) and Wilson Taylor (Menisa), both of Masonville; grandchildren, James Inge, III, Taylor Inge and Grant Inge, all of Louisville, Todd Taylor of Hartford, Hughston Taylor of Utica, Kaitlin Taylor of Masonville, Ashton Poynter of Newburgh, IN, Landon and Shayne Taylor, both of Masonville; great grandchildren, Lance and Ethan Taylor, Harper Taylor, Graham, Ruby Faye and Breaker Inge and Brylee Poynter; a sister, Ann Mitchell of Owensboro; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 20 at Masonville Baptist Church. Rev. Kimbrough Simmons will officiate. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Friends may also visit on Wednesday after 10 AM at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Masonville Baptist Church.
