William E. Simmons

William E. Simmons, 55 of 4050 Silent Doe Crossing, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at his home. He was a retired welder who enjoyed helping others with home improvements, fishing, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.

His father, Charles Simmons preceded him in death in 1990, his mother Frances Simmons in 2000, and he was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Dale Simmons, and a sister, Katherine Simmons.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Brenda J. (Millay) Simmons, a son Jeffery Simmons and daughters, Karrie Ann and Cindy Simmons, grandchildren, Kerisha Ann Simmons, Jamal Anthony Dean, Andrew Jeffery Simmons, and Chase Allen Simmons, two brothers, Author L. and Darrell Simmons his mother-in-law, Mary Millay, all of Owensboro, and several nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2008 at Glenn Funeral Home with Pastor John Fowler officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
