William D. Billy Sigers of Cloverdale, IN, formerly of Owensboro, died Thursday, January 29, 2004. He was a talented musician that, in addition to his regular performances and studio work, had been giving private guitar lessons in Indianapolis for the past five years. While traveling with the USO the last several years, Billy entertained troops in Korea, Hawaii, Guam, and Turkey among other sites. He was a member of Parrish Avenue Baptist Church in Owensboro. Billys hobbies included his music, UK basketball, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marvin and Marion Williams of Central City and his paternal grandfather J.W. Sigers of Martwick.
He is survived by his fiancee, Cammie Goldmann of Cloverdale, parents, Jim and Sandra Sigers of Owensboro; a sister, Kristi Sigers, of Owensboro; one daughter, Morgan Sigers of Owensboro; one son Jared Sigers of Paducah; a paternal grandmother, Virginia Sigers of Martwick, three aunts, Peggy Williams, Suzanne Dillihay and Joyce Peercy.
Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 1, 2004, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday, and after 12 noon Sunday at the funeral home.
