William Rudy Sandefur

William Rudy Sandefur, 85, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Daviess County on December 7, 1920, Mr. Sandefur was the son of the late Forest Hut and Lucy Fenwick Sandefur; was a farmer; and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed fishing and watching his grandchildren play baseball. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Pinkston Sandefur in 1961.

He is survived by his son, Jerry (and Judy) Sandefur of Owensboro; a daughter, Rachael (and David) Barnes of Princeton, KY; grandchildren, Barry Sandefur, Kevin Sandefur, Cliff Dant, and Will Barnes; great-grandchildren, Tyler Sandefur, Heather Sandefur, Henry Sandefur, and Alex Sandefur; and a sister, Virginia (and Thomas E.) Moseley of Calhoun.

Services are 10 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home followed by burial in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Wednesday and after 9 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
