William Edward Rouse

William Edward Billy Rouse, 82, of 3459 Lakeview Drive, Owensboro, died Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, which he loved and was devoted to, and had worked in the Sunday School department for over 40 years. He was a member International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1701, and a member of the Masons. He was a Army veteran of World War II, and enjoyed playing golf. His wife, Laura Helen Rouse, preceded him in death on September 17, 2001.

He is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Kirk of Owensboro; one son Rev. Dale Rouse, and his wife Judy of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Chris Rouse, Nikki Sommerville and Amy Bailey; six great-grandchildren, Alayna and Caleb Rouse, Jacob and Breeanna Sommerville, Spencer and Sawyer Bailey; and one sister, Edna Rice of Owensboro.

Services will be held at 11:00 Saturday, February 21, 2004 at Macedonia Baptist Church, with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, at Glenn Funeral Home. Saturday visitation will be 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church.
