William Joseph Roberts

William Joseph Billy Roberts, 35 of 115 Hummingbird Loop, Owensboro died Monday, November 27, 2006 at his home. He was of the Roman Catholic faith, and a 1989 graduate of Apollo High School. He enjoyed spending as much time with his children as possible, and boating, fishing, swimming and biking.

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph A. Roberts, his paternal grandparents, Wallace and Frances Roberts, maternal grandfather Joseph T. J.T. Payne and an uncle Mark David Roberts.
He is survived by his children, Houston Blake Roberts and Katlyn Nicole Roberts both of Owensboro, his mother Brenda Roberts and her longtime companion, Jerry Stearsman, Father and step-mother, Joseph A. Roberts and Linda Roberts, all of Owensboro, two sisters, Stephanie Priest and husband Reno of Irvington, Ky., Mary Beth Thorpe and husband Clyde of Owensboro, two step-sisters, Sherrie Hamilton, and Lisa Shelnutt and husband Bill, four nieces and nephews Santos Delgado III, Selina Priest, Leanna Shelnutt and William Shelnutt, all of Owensboro, his maternal grandmother, Virginia Raley and husband Paul of Owensboro, aunts, Celia (Tony) Roach, and Julia (Ricky) Houston, Donna (Larry) Phillips, Sheila (Tim) Moore, all of Owensboro, Cathy L. Roberts of Masonville, Faye (Joe) Wathan of Reo, IN., Sue (Bob) McCann of Murphysboro, IL., and uncles, Tom (Cathy) Payne of Owensboro, and Warren (Ellen) Roberts of Lees Summit, MO., and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Carl McCarthy officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. with prayers at -----p.m. and also after 9 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
