William Brian Roberts, Jr., 65, of Owensboro died on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at his home. He was born in Paducah, Kentucky to the late William Brian Roberts, Sr. and Ella Dolores Roberts.
Brian was a graduate of Owensboro Senior High School and a U.S. Army Vietnam War Veteran.
He retired from the Local #40 Boilermakers Union in 2003 after 31 years of service.
Brian enjoyed hot rods and was a member of Sunset Cruisers. He played countless rounds of golf at Windridge Country Club. Brian loved to spend time with family and enjoyed annual Florida vacations with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jerryon G. Roberts; daughter, Tammy Griffith; son, William Brian Roberts, III (Aubrey); daughter, Angie Howard; son, Tim Priar (Amy); son, Kris Priar (Beth); 13 grandchildren, Blake, Madelyn, Ella and Charlee Roberts, Brittany and Brandon Griffith, Jill and Blake Howard, Lydia, Alex, John Thomas, Chloe and Anna Priar; great grandchildren, Skylar Rose and Kaiden Watkins; brother, Richard Roberts; sisters, Connie Turner and Barbara Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at Noon on Wednesday, August 14 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
Fr. John Meredith will officiate. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 PM (Boilermaker rights will be conducted) and on Wednesday after 10 AM at the funeral home. The committal service will be on Thursday at 2 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Windridge Country Club.
