William V. Pruden

July 22, 1931 — June 7, 2001

William V. ''Bill'' Pruden, 69, of 252 St Anthony Road, Utica, died, Thursday, June 7, 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a retired national Sales Manager for V.E. Anderson Maufacturing. Mr. Pruden was a chaplain for the Kentucky State Penitentiary and had judged the Bar-B-Que Festival for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charleen Dieterle Pruden; a son, Bill Pruden of Louisville; three daughters, Janice Eaves, Tracey Mills and Trish Green all of Owensboro; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Norbitt Pruden of Owensboro; and two sisters, Rebecca Varble of Mt Juliet, TN and Linda Wahl of Owensboro.

Funeral services are Saturday, June 9 at 11:30 A.M. at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Sorgho with entombment in Rosehill Cemetery. Friends may call at Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 P.M. on Friday, June 8, 2001 and after 9 A.M. Saturday, June 9, 2001.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 5664 Hwy 56, Owensboro, KY 42301.
