William Allen Powers

William Allen Powers, 53, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at his home. Born in Daviess County, Kentucky on July 10, 1947, he was the son of the late Fred & Mary Ella Coomes Powers.

Mr. Powers worked in Restaurant Management at Pinocchios Restaurant in Owensboro for 13 years. He was a member of Good Shepherd Church, Breakfast Civitan Club and National Restaurant Association. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam War. He loved football and collecting sports cards.

He is survived by his wife of six years, Judy Bryant Powers; a daughter, Kandice Wilson at home; two step-sons, Timothy Fitzgerald of Owensboro, and Richard Wilson of Lexington; two step-daughters, Deborah Drewry and Karen Evans both of Owensboro; a brother, Michael Powers of Owensboro; a sister, Linda Kincaid of Owensboro; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2001 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Bob Petersen and Reverend Earl Ijames. His family will receive friends from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2001 and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
