William "Larry" Pogue, 71, of Utica passed away August 2, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. Pogue was born April 18, 1945 in Muhlenberg County to the late William Taylor and Mary Gertrude Sullivan Pogue. Larry was the pastor for six years of Full Gospel Tabernacle and also employed as a Route Salesman for Bluebird and Hostess Cake Company from which he retired. He loved reading his bible, gospel and Bluegrass music and playing his guitar. Larry was also mechanically inclined and good at fixing old lawn mowers.
Mr. Pogue was preceded in death by one sister, seven brothers and a grandchild, Jessica Kozlowski.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Morris Pogue; sons, Bill Pogue and wife Jackie of Albion, Michigan and Greg Pogue and wife Beverly of Owensboro; daughter, Debbie Smith and husband Trent of Valparaiso, Indiana; brother, Clifton Pogue and wife Nelda of Decatur, Illinois; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren with one on the way; many friends, nieces and nephews.
The service will be 12:00 PM Friday, August 5 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with son, Reverend Bill Pogue officiating. Visitation will also be Friday from 9:00 to 12:00. Entombment will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery Mausoleum.
