William Overton Payne

William Overton Payne, 79, of Owensboro, died Friday, April 21, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in McLean County, had worked in Maintenance as the Head Mechanic at Pinkerton Tobacco, and was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Mr. Payne served the United States in both the Army and the Marine Corp, enjoyed working on classic cars and watching Westerns, especially John Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patsy M. Payne.

Survivors include his daughter, Trishia Gaddis and her husband Joseph; and grandson, Dylan Gaddis

Services will be at Noon on Tuesday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2pm until 8pm Monday and after 10am Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
