William Gilbert Payne

William Gilbert Payne, of 530 Yale Place, Owensboro died Sunday, July 14, 2002 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Daviess County, Kentucky on September 27, 1928 the son of Roy and Mary Hallie Payne.

Mr. Payne retired as a bartender and was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral Catholic Church.

Survivors include three brothers, James B. Payne, Joseph R. Payne and Ignation R. Payne, Jr., all of Owensboro; two sisters, Margaret Terry and Mary E. Lighton, both of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Father Maury Riney. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2002 and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
