William R. Owsley

God in his infinite wisdom has called from our midst his child, William R. Owsley, Jr. William went home to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, November 22, 2014 at the Heartford House in Owensboro, Ky. He was born March 31, 1960 to William R. Owsley Sr. and Anita L. Owsley. At an early age William became a member of Zion Baptist Church. He was also a member of Center Street Baptist Church. Later he became a member of Audubon Church Of The Nazarene until the time of his death. William was employed at Swedish Match for 37 yrs in Quality Control. He was a graduate of Owensboro Senior High. William loved his AA family. He enjoyed watching movies and he loved playing the Tambourine at church.

His father preceded him in death on February 12, 2000.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Anita L. Owsley, four brothers, Richard L. Greenfield (Lou), George W. Greenfield, James W. Greenfield and Myron B. Greenfield (Valerie), five sisters, Audrey C. Henderson (George), Joyce A. Floyd (Jon), Gwendolyn L. Williams, Beverly N. Slaughter (Dorsey) and his twin sister Willene R. Husk, (Bob) two daughters, Darniece Douglas (Tony) and Heather Jackson (Kory). Eight grandchildren, Rashai, Darrion, Gavin, Selena, Avel, Demyiah, Keyshauna, Laysheona and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at the Audubon Nazarene Church, Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 2:00PM with Pastor Doug Grant officiating. Visitation will be Friday, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, and again Saturday from Noon until the time of service at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Audubon Nazarene Church, the local AA, or The Heartford House of Owensboro. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
