Bill Morrow, 69, of Owensboro died the morning of Thursday, September 4th, 2008 at Owensboro Medical Health System. His death came after a long fought battle with a chronic illness. Born in Whitesville, KY on September 15th, 1938 he is preceded in death by his parents Leland and Mary Hale Hines Morrow and his wife Patricia Baker Morrow.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Douglas Trenkamp of Crescent Springs, KY; grandchildren, Madison and Jada Trenkamp; his sister Charlotte Morrow Sowards and husband Rev. Dr. W. Glenn Sowards, his brother Darrell C. Morrow and wife Virginia Depp Morrow; his uncle Robert L. Hines and wife Peggy and several nieces and nephews.
Bill graduated in 1961 from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce. Upon graduating he took an auditing job with the accounting firm of Peat, Marwick and Mitchell in Chicago. He met and married Patricia Baker, a graduate of Northwestern University. Later he took a job as a controller with the Seeburg Company. Through various job transfers his family lived in Ft. Lauderdale and Hallandale, Florida (1967-1970) and Atlanta (1970-1977). After the death of his wife in 1977 he and his daughter returned to his hometown of Owensboro. He worked and retired from Texas Gas as a financial analyst and was a life-long member of the First Christian Church of Owensboro.
The funeral service will be at 12 noon on Monday, September 8th at First Christian Church with Rev. Dr. W. Glenn Sowards officiating followed by burial at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 10 A.M. until service time.
