William E. Morris

William E. Morris, 61, of 5504 Lane Road, Owensboro, died Monday, July 1, 2002 in Owensboro.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elvis Morris and a brother Ralph Morris

The Breckinridge County native was a former teacher and principal of Maceo Elementary School, past-president of the former Owensboro-Daviess County Committee on Aging, a board member of Daviess COunty Senior Services, active in United Way, Friendship Force, a board member of Daviess County Teachers Federal Credit Union, held a Bachelors degree from Brescia College and a Masters degree from Western Kentucky University, was a board member of ARC, a member of Black Lick Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sue E. Morris; A son and a daughter-in-law, Kevin and Melinda Morris of Nashville, Tennessee; a grand-daughter, Taylor Morris of Nashville, Tennessee, his mother, Emma Morris of Owensboro; two brothers, Edgar Morris of Wabash, IN and Harry Morris of Logansport, IN and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 2 p.m., Friday, July 5, at Glenn Funeral Home, where friends may call from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday and after 11 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be in Beatty Graveyard in Breckinridge County.

Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of donations to the United Way or the American Cancer Society.
