William Anthony Mitchell

William Anthony Mitchell, 50, of Owensboro, KY passed away at his residence. He was born in Owensboro to Clement and Anita Mitchell, graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School, Brescia University and the Chase School of Law. He was an attorney, a member of the Daviess County Bar Association, a member of the faculty of Owensboro Community and Technical College, where he taught business law, and was an avid boater. He was preceded in death by his father, Clement Lee Mitchell and his brother, Joseph Edward Mitchell.

Survivors include his mother, Anita Keller Mitchell of Owensboro; brothers, Marty Mitchell (Becky) and John Mitchell (Cathy) both of Owensboro; sisters, Vicki Stogsdill (Jack) of Owensboro, Jill Gerring (Pat) of Lexington, Sally Martin (Bruce) of Owensboro, Jane Bray (Mike) of Nashville, TN, and Cathy Lindemann (Charlie) of Erlanger; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 8:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery.
