William Tootie Locher

October 29, 1938 — January 24, 2010

William "Bill" "Tootie" Locher, 71, of Utica, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010 at his home. Born October 29, 1938 in Daviess County, Mr. Locher was the son of the late Morris and Linnie Simpson Locher; was an 11-year Army veteran and then worked at Modern Welding and Ragu Foods; and was a member of St Anthony Catholic Church. Mr. Locher was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and enjoyed woodworking, country living, and especially, spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Priscilla Lizotte Locher; sons, Michael (Jovonna) Locher, Jon Locher., and Jaimie (Vickie) Locher all of Owensboro, Daniel (Song) Locher of Philadelphia; a daughter, Lori Ann (Terry) Richard of Owensboro; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Morris (Phyllis) Locher, Jr. of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at St Anthony Catholic Church with Father Mike Clark officiating followed by burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home where prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Kidney Foundation, The American Heart Association, or Hospice of Western Kentucky.
