William Joseph Lee

William J. Lee, Sr., 68, of 1638 Thompson Drive, Owensboro, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at his residence. He was born November 10, 1935, to the late Ralph and Mary Whitfill Lee in Lefore County, MS. He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, retired from Hon Company after 40 years of service. His hobbies included fishing, checkers, playing basketball and softball, and coaching baseball. He also loved to travel.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Margaret Morris Lee, three sons and wives, William J. (Nora) Lee, Jr., Gary Michael (Connie) Lee, James (Kay) Lee; three daughters, Mary and (Bruce) Kittinger, Sandra K. Lee all of Owensboro, Tina Marie Lee of Russellville, KY; fifteen grandchildren, Chris, Steven, Justin, Ross, Charles, Brent, Brian, Paul, Cassie, Mandy, Tara and Tonya Lee, Kristy and Ashley Kittinger, and Kristina Barnett; two great-grandchildren, Gatlin Green and Logan Lee; three brothers and wives, John (Edwinna) Lee, and James (Connie) Lee all of Owensboro, Wayne (Debbie) Lee of Durham, NC; one sister and her husband, Susie (Joe) Morris of Owensboro.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, at Precious Blood Catholic Church, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, and after 9:00 AM Saturday, at the funeral home, with prayers being said at 6:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Association, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY, 42301.
