William "Bill" Kyle

William “Bill” Kyle, 77, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Daviess County to the late Thomas and Martha Kyle.

Mr. Kyle earned a degree in fine arts, with a focus on photography, from Brescia College. He spent many years at the Messenger- Inquirer before taking a position with the Evansville Courier. This job evolved beyond photography into a key role in their information technology department.

Bill enjoyed the outdoors and backpacking trips that incorporated his passion for photography. He was also an avid golfer. Mr. Kyle was a patient person, great teacher and a very generous person. He will be missed by many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Yager Peters and a brother, David Kyle.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sheila; sons, Eric Kyle (Lisa) and Jason Kyle (Amanda); grandchildren, Rachel, Jackson, Abbey, Camryn and Meghan Kyle; sisters, Cindy Whitmer (Bob) and Rosemary Conder (Larry); a brother, Thomas Kyle; and several nieces and nephews.

The service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 6 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
