William (Bill) Junior Houtchen, 75, of Utica, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at the home of his companion, Audrey Taylor in Hawesville. The Breckinridge County native was a member of Utica United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, NASCAR and dancing. He retired from Western Kentucky Gas after 39 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy M. Houtchen in 2002.
Survivors, other than his companion, include a son, Michael Houtchen and his wife, Stephanie, a step-son, Danny Glover and his wife, Mary, all of Owensboro; three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Houtchen and his wife, Jan of Owensboro, David Houtchen and his wife, Janice of Haines City, FL.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Friday and after 8:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301 or Yelvington Campground.
