William “Chase” Henry, 25, passed away on January 26, 2026. He was born on March 4, 2000, in Owensboro. Chase lived with a rare mix of adventure and gentleness. An avid hunter and fisherman, he felt most at home outdoors, whether casting a line at sunrise or tracking through the woods with quiet patience. He had an impressive knowledge of reptiles and animals of all kinds, always eager to share what he knew and spark curiosity in others.
A lifelong hockey fan and a talented defender for the International Silver Stick runner-up team, the Owensboro Puck Hogs, with a slap shot strong enough to break the glass. Chase was also a devoted BBQ enthusiast and could often be found planning his next cookout with friends and family.
He loved making happy memories with his loved ones, bringing laughter and joy wherever he went. Chase had a gift for making people smile and a heart that was especially tender toward children. His nieces held a special place in his life, and the bond they shared was full of joy, playfulness, and unconditional love.
He fiercely loved his girlfriend, Isabelle, and cherished the time they spent building a life together. Chase was also dedicated to his work and future, currently participating in management training at Cheetah Clean Auto Wash, where his leadership and work ethic were already shining through.
Chase is survived by his father, Roy W. Henry; mother, Lisa E. Henry; sisters, Whitney (Blake) Johnson, Summer Henry, and Christina (Jason) Brandes; maternal grandparents, Doris and Jerry Ellis, paternal grandparents, Marilyn Wilkins and Ron (Judy) Henry; aunts and uncles, Robin (Loyd) Bingaman, Leslie Henry, and Timothy Ellis; nieces, Ella Johnson, Evie Johnson, and Everly Brandes, along with a host of close friends, co-workers, cousins, and other extended family.
