William J. Hamilton

William J. Hamilton, 93, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013, at his home. He was born on September 24, 1920, in Ohio Co., KY to the late J. W. and Mattie Stevens Hamilton. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from the former Murphy-Miller Co. and the Hon Co. William was a U. S. Army veteran and loved spending time with his family. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Marie Hamilton in 2009.
Surviving are his sons, David Hamilton and wife Lou O'Leary and Daniel Hamilton and wife Judy, all of Owensboro, six grandchildren, Julie (Bryan) Smith, Kim (Tim) Millay, and Daniel P. Hamilton, all of Owensboro, Jon (Jenny) Hamilton and Keen Martin, all of Louisville, and Holly Martin of Lexington, five great grandchildren, Sydney and Wil Smith, Audrey Hamilton, Juliette Millay, and Hannah Hongsermeier, and his caregivers, Rachel Alsup, Heather Velazquez, Damien and Carrie Edge, and Tracey Murphy.
There will be visitation from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Services will be private. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
