William Daniel ''Tee'' Green, 80, of Owensboro, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at his home. He was born in Owensboro to the late Augustus and Maggie (Douglas) Green. William worked in security for the Sportscenter, and retired from the City of Owensboro Sanitation Department. He loved playing cards, watching basketball, playing horse shoes, watching westerns, working in his flower beds, and coached softball. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Leroy and William A. Green, and a sister, Minnie Willingham.
Surviving is his loving wife of 34 years, Dorothy Jackson Green, daughters, Mary (Al ) Lacks of Owensboro, Sarah (Jimmy) Green of Louisville, a son, Daniel Green of Evansville, IN., step daughters, Janice Owen and Vickie Taylor of Owensboro, Brenda Mooreman of Sacramento, CA., step-sons, Roosevelt (Cordelia) Jackson, Tony (Sheila) Jackson, Ronnie , Dennis, and Derek Owen, all of Owensboro, brothers, Edward and James Green of Owensboro, sisters, Mary Frazier of Louisville, Sally Sanders and Nancy Frazier both of Owensboro. 23 grandchildren, 50 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Ronald Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday after 10 a.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
