William Paul Goodall, 76, of 4430 Hillcrest Oaks, Owensboro, died Thursday, November 13, 3002 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Ohio County, a son of the late Herbert H. and Ethel Mae Goodall, he retired after 34 years as an industrial specialist with the Naval Avionics Center. A member of First Christian Church, Mr. Goodall was a veteran of the United States Army. He served in the Pacific Theatre in World War II, and was recalled in the Korean Conflict and the Berlin airlift. He attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer and was awarded the Asiatic/Pacific Campaign Medal, the WW II Victory medal, the Army Occupation Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Sharpshooter badge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil Goodall, Neil Goodall and James Robert Goodall, and two sisters, Eula Wegthington and Crystabelle Muffet.
Two sisters, Eulema Goodall, and Winnie Head, both of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews survive him.
Services will be at 10 A.M. Saturday, November 15, 2003 at Glenn Funeral home, where visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. on Friday and after 8:30 A.M. on Saturday. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery with military honors provided by VFW Post 696.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice.
