William L. Gillaspie

William L. Bill Gillaspie, 81, of Utica, died Thursday, February 24 at the home of his daughter in Owensboro. He was a member of Whitesville Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross Gillaspie and Mamie Alice Bartlett, a sister Ola Rae Smith, and his wife, Helen L. Gillaspie.

He is survived by six sons, Charles Gillaspie and wife Shirley, Robert Gillaspie and wife Paula, Ray Gillaspie and wife Ruth, Larry Gillaspie and wife Teresa, Willie Gillaspie and Jimmy Gillaspie and wife Beverly, all of Owensboro, and four daughters, Judy Hagan and husband Barry, Julie Mitchell and husband Bill, Nancy Bolton and her husband, Bill., and Mary Cooney, All of Owensboro. He also had a special person in his life who was just like a daughter, Rita Anderson. Mr Gillaspie also is survived by 31 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 27, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Cates Cemetery in Whitesville. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 12 p.m. Sunday until Funeral time. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association.
