William Joseph Fischer

William Joseph Bill Fischer, 69, of 3849 Willow Way, Owensboro, died Saturday, June 14, 2003, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born on July 19, 1933 in Rome, Ky. Where he was raised on the family farm. He worked at Wyndalls Farm Store for 25 years and was co-owner of Fischers Keystop. He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Lillian Fischer. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 49 years, Margaret Clark Fischer, 4 Sons and 3 daughters-in-law, David & Barbara Fischer, Joey & Sondra Fischer, and Tommy Fischer, all of Owensboro, and Jimmy & Kelly Fischer of Maceo, 2 Daughters and a son-in-law, Kathy & Bob Clark, and Karen Nafrady of Owensboro, 16 Grandchildren, Jennifer Bowlds, Nicole Fischer, Dawn Dickey, Joy Kaye Wells, Jimmy Fischer, Monica Clark, Jason Fischer, Erica Peach, Brandon Fischer, Sara Fischer, Joseph Fischer, Adam Fischer, Heath Peach, Amanda Fischer, Lindsey Fischer, & Elijah Nafrady, and 4 Great Granddaughters, Madelyn, Molly, and Julia Bowlds, and Keiara Hagan, 1 Brother and sister-in-law, James J.R. and Rosie Fischer of Elizabethtown, Ky., 3 Sisters and a brother-in-law, Margaret Hanson of New Albany, In., Geraldine Jerry and Doug Crowe of Owensboro, and Lou Spiel of Tamp, Fl. He has 2 Sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Louise and D.H. Waltrip of Calhoun, Ky. And Mary Powers of Owensboro, and several nieces & nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 17, at 1:00 P.M. at the St. Pius X Catholic Church with entombment following in the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00-8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 5:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
