William T. Curtis

William T. Curtis, 79, of Sugar Grove Road, Whitesville, died Saturday, April 26, 2008, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born December 10, 1928 to the late Clarence and Frances Goings Curtis in Chandler, IN. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from Texas Gas, was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Magan, and enjoyed flying. He worked with GRADD, and NASA, enjoyed playing golf, and riding motorcycles. His favorite past time was being with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Frank and Fred Curtis.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Shirley; his sons, Tom Curtis and his wife Jeanette of Sevierville, TN, Mike Curtis and his wife, Rachel of Whitesville; his daughter, Debi Greenland and her husband, Jim of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Brown, Aaron Isom, Dena Anderson, Tara Feltner, Matthew Curtis and Bryson Curtis; four step-grandchildren, Faith Kirby, Heather Basham, Ehrin Midkiff and Brittney Midkiff; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Everett Curtis of Boonville, IN; a sister, Emma Meier and her husband, James of Boonville, IN.

Services will be 7:00 PM Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home with visitation after 1:00 PM Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Ohio Valley, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301.
