William Lawrence Clark, 76 of 5653 Jack Hinton Road, Philpot, died Saturday, November 27, 2004 at his residence. He was born March 11, 1928 to the late Kyran and Delphia Russellburg Clark in Daviess County. He was a member of St. Mary's of the Woods Catholic Church, retired from Glenmore Distillery, and he and his wife were foster parents for twenty years, keeping over 100 children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Ellen Clark, who died October 7, 1995, his grandson, William G. Clark, one brother Bernard Clark, and one sister, Frances Basham.
Survivors include one son, Gerry Clark and his wife, Dorita of Utica; three daughters, Debera Williamson and her husband, John, of Philpot, Marcia Ford and her husband Tony, of Owensboro, Glenda Jarboe of Owensboro; five grandchildren, Roseanna Williamson, Brian Jarboe, Sara Ford, Adam Williamson and Ethan Clark; one brother, Arthur Clark of Whitesville; four sisters, Beulah Robinson, Lucille Evans, and Edith Payne, all of Whitesville, Marie Bartlett of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Wednesday, at Glenn Funeral Home with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be said Tuesday evening.
