William "Bill" Clark, 81, of Owensboro, died Sunday, July 5, 2009, at his home. He was born January 15, 1928 to the late Virgil and Orean Schadler Clark in Daviess County. He was owner and operator of Advance Aluminum for 54 years, and a member of Immaculate Catholic Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the National Guard, and enjoyed boating, deep sea fishing, NASCAR, and working at his business.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosina Clark on April 21, 2005, two brothers, Jerry Clark and Gene Clark, and a great-grandson, Braden Peercy.
Survivors include his son, David Clark and his wife, Shannon, his daughters, Donna O'Flynn and her fianc, Vernon Wathen, Kay Peercy and her husband, Randy, all of Owensboro; eight grandchildren, Todd O'Flynn, Amanda Clark, Jennifer O'Flynn, Hadley Clark, Andrew O'Flynn, Will O'Flynn, Jeff Peercy and Jeremy Peercy; four great-grandchildren, Blake Peercy, Trayson Peercy, Emma Peercy, and Shelby O'Flynn; one brother, Harold Clark and his wife, Ann of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, at Immaculate Catholic Church, with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, with prayers at 7:30 PM at Glenn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301, or Immaculate Catholic Church, 2516 Christie Place, Owensboro, KY 42301.
