William Royce Burns

William Royce Burns, Jr., 28, of 3201 W. 2nd. Street,Owensboro died Tuesday, September 27, 2004 from injuries resulting from an automobile accident on Highway 231 in Ohio County. Born March 25, 1976 in Daviess Co., Ky., he was a roofer with Skimmerhorn Contracting and was a Marines Corps veteran. He attended the First Assembly of God Church and loved fishing, playing golf, traveling and listening to country music.

He is survived by his father, William R. Burns, Sr. of Utica; his mother, Kathy Mayfield Burns of Owensboro; four brothers, Jeremy Burns (and his wife April) , Jason Burns and his wife, Amy, and Branden Burns and his fiance, Sarah Harley, all of Owensboro, and Royce Wayne Burns and his wife, Patricia of Thruston, his paternal grandmother, Mamaw Abney and maternal grandmother, Mamaw Mayfield, both of Owensboro, and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, & Nephews.

Funeral services are 2:30 P.M. Monday, October 4, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday and after 12 Noon on Monday.
