William Lawrence Boarman

William Lawrence Larry Boarman, 88, of Hayden Road, Owensboro, died Thursday, August 16, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born April 30, 1919, to the late Francis and Regina Hamilton Boarman in Daviess County. He was in the construction business and was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church and was an Army Veteran of WW II. He and his wife, Lorena Reisz, were married May 29, 1945 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Central City.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ann Wright.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lorena M. Boarman; his daughters, Mary Kay Fannin and her husband, Mike of Lexington, KY, Linda Marie Hix and her husband, Freeman of Ft. Myers, FL, Rita Jean Martinez and her husband, Emilio of Indianapolis, IN, Barbara Wood and her husband, Jim of Houston, TX, Denise Beard and her husband, John of Zebulon, NC; his sons, James Boarman and his wife, Kathe of Houston, TX, Gerry Boarman and his wife, Jami of Denver, CO; eighteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Payne, of Owensboro, and Louise Howard of Whitesville.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Pius Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at Glenn Funeral Home with prayers at 7:00 PM.
