William Banczak

William Banczak, 73 of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on April 1, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Frank and Victoria K. Banczak. William was an Engineer for National Aluminum and Commonwealth Aluminum before retiring in 2004. He was of the Catholic faith, loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and was an avid U. K. basketball fan. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Jean Mizia Knight.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Lorraine Banczak, a daughter, Debbie Jones and husband Todd of Bowling Green, two sons, Bill Banczak and wife Paula of Greensboro, N.C., and Ron Banczak and wife Adele of Hebron, KY, and six grandchildren, Ronald Banczak, Elizabeth Banczak, Brad Banczak, McKenzie Banczak, Caitlyn Jones, and Sayrah Jones.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 24, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with entombment following in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Friday with prayers at 5:00 P.M. and after 12 Noon Saturday at the funeral home.
