Wiliam Allen "Jack" Jackson

William Allen "Jack" Jackson, 80, of Owensboro, passed away July 15, 2016 at Signature Healthcare in Hartford, KY. He was born June 11, 1936 in Jasper, IN to the late Samuel and Margaret (Church) Jackson. William received his high school GED and entered into the military at the age of 17. He served as a Tech-Sgt in the United States Air Force in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. While in the Air Force he received a Good Conduct Decoration Medal and a Vietnam Service Ribbon. William was of the Roman Catholic Faith and a member of Blessed Mother Church in Owensboro, KY.

He was preceded in death by a sister Elanor Knight.

He is survived by daughters; Judith Kunkel of Murphy, NC; Diana Frakes and her husband Skip of Utica, KY; a son William Jackson Jr. and his wife Linda of Papillion, NE; a sister; Betty Meadows of Victoria, VA. 7 grandchildren: Karl, Kenny, Tiffany, Teresa, Chad, Billy, and Candice and 6 great-grandchildren: Raelynn, Corbin, Kenley, Leighton, Callen, and Cayson.

Funeral Services will be held noon Wednesday July 20, 2016 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00pm Wednesday. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
