Wilbur S. Moreland

Wilbur S. ''Essie'' Moreland, 78, of 401 Maple Ave, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Hermitage Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. He was a member of Third Baptist Church, a charter member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church, a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, a past member of the Jaycees, and enjoyed walking, and meeting his friends at Hardees for coffee.
He was retired from Bell South after 45 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Marie of 53 years, a son, Brad at home, and 2 daughters, Mrs. David (Lisa) Epling of Owensboro, and Mrs. Skip (Lynn) Wirth of Bowling Green, Ky., and 1 Grandddaughter, Elizabeth Wirth of Bowling Green.
He is also survived by 2 Sisters, Margaret Lashbrook of Masonville, and Mary Belle Kunzman of Spokane, Wa.
Services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, March 6, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M.
Expressions of sympathy made by made in the form of a donation to the Moreland Park Children's Playground Equipment, c/o Owensboro Parks Dept. 1530 McJohnson Ave, Owensboro, Ky. 42303. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
