Wendell Clinton Morris, 92, of Owensboro, formerly of Caldwell, OH, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System. The son of the late Walton Culver and Hazel H. Morris, he was born in Rich Valley, Sharon Township in Noble Co., OH. He was a graduate of Forest Grove High School and was a dental assistant while in the U. S. Army during World War II. Wendell was a member of the United Steelworkers of America having worked at Imperial Clevite Corp. in Caldwell with 30 years of service before retiring in 1981. He also operated a farm in Noble Co. His Christian faith in our Lord Jesus Christ was nondenominational. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nadine Morris, five sisters, infant Nellie Morris, Marie Odlivak, Nita Morris, Waveline Addus, and Lois Avenell Morris.
Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Betty White Morris, a daughter, Maxine M. Cornish and husband Patrick of Byesville, OH, one step-granddaughter, one step-great granddaughter, one step-great grandson, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be 5:00 P.M. Saturday, April 9, in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be after 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. A committal service and burial will be held Monday morning at 10:00 A.M. E.S.T., April 11 at the Sharon Cemetery in Caldwell, OH.
