Wendell Russell Cave

February 25, 1945 — April 18, 2002

Wendell R. Cave, 57, of 2804 West 6th St, Owenbsoro, died Thursday, April 18, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a member of the Harvest Baptist Temple and had worked at the Holiday Inn for 21 years. He enjoyed fishing and watching his step-grandchildren participate in sports.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Cave in January of 2002.

He is survived by three step-daughters, Kathy Ferguson of Beaver Dam, Debra Short of MS, and Brenda Melville of Debugue, IA; eight step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; six brothers, Arthur Cave of Louisville, Carl, Larry and Henry Cave of Owensboro, Alan Cave of Joliet, IL, and Donnie Cave of Orlando, FL; three sisters, Jeannetta Mayfield, Alma Mattingly, and Sharon Cisneros of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service are Monday, April 22, 2002 at the Glenn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 A.M. on Monday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Hospice Association, 723 Harvard Dr., Owensboro, KY 42301
