Wayne E. Clark

Wayne E. Clark, 85, of Owensboro passed away on Friday, November 20, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born February 15, 1924 in Marshalltown, Iowa to the late Thomas Gilmore and Martine Merimee Clark. He had moved to Owensboro with his family in 1937 and eventually worked at Fleischmann Distillary and then Green River Steel where he retired. He was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. He is also preceded in death by his first wife of 16 years, Mary Spratt Clark, three brothers, Wilfred, Richard, and Robert Clark, and a sister, Marilyn Clark Holder.

Surviving is his wife, Dorothy Ballard Freeman Clark, three stepdaughters, LaVonne Freeman Knott and husband Billy, Paula Duke and husband Emmett, and Jonell Ballantine, all of Owensboro, a stepson, Larry Spratt and wife Shelley of St. Charles, MO, two brothers, George Clark and Paul Clark, both of Owensboro, seven step grandchildren, several step great and great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12 Noon Wednesday, November 25 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
