Waymon Anthony "Tony" Horn

Waymon Anthony “Tony” Horn, 76, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Heartford House. The Daviess County native was born December 16, 1948, as one of seven children to the late Henry Dee Horn and Anna Marie Crisp Horn. Tony grew up on the family farm in the Whitesville/Philpot area and graduated from St. Mary of the Woods High School, class of 1966. He was drafted into the Army and was stationed in Germany during his tour of duty. Tony was a Tool and Office Manager at Titan Contracting and Leasing Co. Inc. for 35 years when he retired in 2017. He loved to walk and help others in need. He was a man of deep faith who loved his parish community. Tony was a humble, selfless, and generous man. He was greatly loved by his family, and he loved them greatly. 

 In addition to his parents, Tony also was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Paula Kay Horn and two brothers-in-law, Gerald Ray Hood and Carlos Lee Kassinger. 

 Those left to cherish his memory include his six siblings, Becky Horn (Don Preuss), Judy Hood, Mike Horn, Rose Foster (Stewart), Patty Kassinger, and Nelda Flahardy (David); numerous nieces and nephews. 

 The funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am Thursday, February 27 at Immaculate Catholic Church officiated by Fr. John Vaughan. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 until 7:00 pm with prayers at 6:30 and Thursday from 9:00 until 10:30 am at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery with military honors.
